Gearing up...or down

2 days and counting. The Chequamegon Fat Tire is the race that most racers plan their season around. Its the race where condition wise you want to be peaking, your motivation tank full, and your determination on high.

The course isn't technical but the layout is grueling and tough. Your motivation is set by the previous years race, your determination requires you to push till you can taste the blood in your lungs and right when your ready to throw in the towel and work to just finish, you"tighten the screws" a bit and ride till there is nothing left in the tank, hoping that when that time comes you have crossed the finish line.

Last night Craig Manthe and I rode our last Tuesday group ride of the season using it as a tune up for this weekend. Deuce and I will be heading up tomorrow evening and I'm always looking forward to rubbing shoulders with the elite.

My riding companion.

Thanks for all your support and encouragement throughout this season. Game on, hope for a good race and I will post results first thing next week!
